The deskmat, the piece you look at most

It is the least spectacular piece in the catalogue and yet the one you look at most. A t-shirt goes out twice a week, a canvas blends into the wall within a month, a deskmat stays under your hands all day. Thirty-one designs exist, in four sizes. This guide says how to choose.
The size comes before the artwork
This is the usual mistake: you fall for a design, you order, and the mat does not cover what you wanted. The four formats do not answer the same need.
70 × 30 cm. The keyboard and mouse area, nothing more. For a crowded desk or a corner of a table.
90 × 40 cm. The common size. Keyboard, mouse, and room for a notebook or a phone.
100 × 50 cm. The whole working area in front of the screen, with margin for wide movements.
120 × 60 cm. The surface of an entire desk. The mat no longer completes the furniture, it covers it, and it becomes what you see.
All thirty-one designs exist in all four sizes. Choosing a format never limits the choice of artwork: everything is in the deskmat collection.
Measure the width of your desk before ordering. A 120 × 60 on a 110 cm desk hangs over the edge, a 70 × 30 on a 160 cm desk floats.
What it is, materially
Printed textile surface, non-slip rubber base, 3 mm thick, stitched edges all the way round. The three points matter for different reasons.
The textile takes the print without breaking it up, which is what allows detailed artwork rather than flat blocks of colour. The rubber keeps the mat from sliding when you push the mouse. The stitched edge is what separates a mat that lasts from one that frays within six months: without it, the surface peels at the corner.

Thirty-one designs, nine families
The series is not a catalogue of logos. Each design tells a car, a circuit or a line, and the families are not the same size.
Leclerc and Monaco, ten mats. The deepest family: the team radio lines, the Monaco layout, the harbour in gold, the stamp, the pit board, and two pixel art designs in 16 bit video game style. It is also the deepest driver collection on the site.
Porsche, seven. The 917K of 1970, the 930 Turbo, the 964 Turbo, the GT3 RS as a technical drawing and in pink, and two Need Money designs.
The Eifel, four. Around the Nürburgring: the Tourismo Motor Club, the pit board, the test sheet and the Touristenfahrt. The only family about a place rather than a brand.
BMW, three. The black M2 with yellow headlights, the M4 CSL, the M4 in purple light.
And the rest. Hamilton in two versions, the Lamborghini SVJ in black and in Verde Mantis, the Ferrari F40, the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, and one mat devoted to the 44 against 33 duel at Abu Dhabi 2021.

Choosing, in three questions
Who sees it? A deskmat at work is seen by colleagues, one at home by you alone. The first case pushes towards something quiet, the second allows the fluorescent purple.
What screen sits above it? A busy design under a wide monitor tires quickly. Technical drawings and circuit layouts last better than heavily coloured scenes.
Keyboard or wheel? On a sim rig the mat is mostly the backdrop visible between your hands. On a working desk it is the opposite: three quarters of it is covered and only the left edge stays visible. Pick a design whose subject is not in the middle.
The whole desk
The mat is the horizontal. For the vertical, the automotive canvases take the wall behind the screen, in the same worlds and often with the same cars. And for the wrist, the wheel dial watches complete the setup without taking any space.
All three are looked at in the same place, at the same hours, which is exactly what makes them work together.
Where to start
Three ways in, depending on what sits above your screen.
Frequently asked questions
Which size should I choose?
70 × 30 cm for the keyboard and mouse area alone, 90 × 40 for the common format, 100 × 50 for the whole area in front of the screen, 120 × 60 to cover an entire desk. Measure the width of your desk before ordering.
Does the mat slide?
No, the base is non-slip rubber. The 3 mm thickness is enough to keep it stable without raising the wrist.
Do the edges fray?
The edges are stitched all the way round, which stops the surface peeling at the corner, the classic failure of unstitched mats.
Does every design exist in every size?
Yes. All thirty-one models come in the four dimensions, so the choice of format never limits the choice of artwork.
Does it make a good gift?
It is the piece most often missing for someone who already has the t-shirts and the posters, and unlike clothing it raises no sizing problem.
