Dankjewel Zandvoort.
One helmet, one city,
one final appointment.

For his final home Grand Prix at Zandvoort, Max Verstappen has revealed a white-and-blue helmet inspired by Delftware — a visual tribute to the Netherlands and the fans at the circuit.

The final Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort will not be just another race for Max Verstappen. Before even taking to the track, the Dutchman has chosen to tell the story of this meeting through a very personal object: a helmet designed as a tribute to his country, his fans and the recent history of the circuit.

A helmet designed as a tribute

The design moves away from the usual colours of Verstappen’s 2026 helmet and uses a white base with dark-blue details. Floral and ornamental patterns run across the lower section, while the driver’s lion remains integrated into the design on top.

Red Bull and Oracle branding are still visible at the front. The familiar elements of a racing helmet remain, but they appear in a quieter and distinctly Dutch composition.

Delft Blue enters the paddock

The inspiration comes from Delftware, recognised for its blue patterns on a white background. This visual language has been associated with the Netherlands for centuries, allowing Verstappen to reference his country without simply reproducing the colours of the national flag.

“Dankjewel Zandvoort”

The words “Dankjewel Zandvoort” — “Thank you, Zandvoort” — give the helmet its most direct meaning. The message is aimed at the Dutch fans who have supported Verstappen through his home races, at a circuit that became one of the most recognisable venues on the calendar.

A keepsake beyond the race

The helmet is first and foremost racing equipment, but its design also gives it the character of a keepsake. 1:2-scale miniature replicas were listed by Verstappen’s official shop for fans who want to preserve a trace of this final Zandvoort meeting.

After the 2026 edition, the Dutch Grand Prix is expected to leave the calendar. The helmet does not tell Verstappen’s entire Zandvoort story by itself, but it creates an especially clear visual conclusion.
